TrueRepose: Athens - Spetses - Syros
The TrueRepose package has been tailored for guests who want to take a step back, and escape into the peace and tranquillity of a past age. Human touch has only brushed over these islands leaving them unspoiled by modern day civilization. Be enveloped by the culture and exquisiteness of Greek island life while still enjoying the luxury of TrueGreece. We assure our guests a calming and relaxing experience that will revitalize them before their return to reality.
The Islands
Spetses is a small island, just off the Greek mainland, which has long attracted Athenians as well as foreigners who come seeking a “laid back” holiday, a place where the history and architecture evoke a time when ‘traveling’ meant enjoying the place’s intrinsic charms and not importing one’s own diversions. Perhaps this is best exemplified by the fact that this is an island where much of the town has been closed to cars and where the preferred mode of transportation is a horse drawn carriage.
Syros, the capital of the Cyclades, was praised by Homer in the Odyssey for its rich agriculture and herds, while in modern times Syros became one of the chief ports and manufacturing centres of Greece. Today, visitors to Syros are captivated by its natural beauty and impressive neoclassical architecture, as well as its art, music festivals, and theatre productions. |
The Plan
The TrueGreece holiday packages include luxurious accommodations at exceptional hotels, traditional and distinctive culinary experiences as well as educating and exciting pre-planned excursions. This TrueGreece experience has a free and flexible structure allowing you to explore and venture off on your own.
Your TrueGreece Concierge will be with you every step of the way, providing you with a useful resource which we highly recommend you exploit. Take advantage of your Concierges love for Greece and unique wealth of local knowledge.
As you review our trip descriptions please keep in mind that many of the described activities are suggestions and represent only an example of the many alternatives you may choose from. At the end of each day's description, we highlight the pre-packaged meals and activities, included in the price of your tour.
